This was the first peak of our three summit hike today in the northern Stubai alps (Widdersberg-Schneiderspitze-Birgitzköpfl).
It was a family affair as on this sunday we went hiking with the newlyweds. In fact, Katrin's mum married the day before and a few invited people were there for this hike the day after.
Having said that, on top of the peaks it was only me Katrin and her brother, the others just walked around them and enjoyed the views and the fresh air.
We started the Hike from Axamer Lizum (where all the ski and chair-lifts start) and walked up pretty steep straight to this first Mountain; first on a gravel street, then on some clearly marked mountain paths and in the end off-path but without any dangerous exposure.
Its position is in the middle of the valley, there are higher mountains behind it (Kalkkögel) and in front on the northern side it goes straight down which gives nice views of all surroundings.
A nice start for today, we did the 730 meters of vertical altitude in a bit more than one hour, walking with normal pace.
Level: T3- (due to the off-path route we took).
