50th summit in Ticino.
Second peak of todays 3 summit hike (Poncino della Croce-Uomo del Sasso-Cimetto).
In fact, the planned hike today was much longer and included a total of 7 peaks... due to too much snow above 1700 meters and a long party evening the night before we had to change our plans.
We will conquer the other peaks in some other tour in the future, this time it just wasn't the right moment..
To reach this peak we just walked over more or less 15 minutes from Poncino della Croce following path 702, explained in the official guides about Ticino of the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club), page 446 of the 5th volume (Guida alle prealpi ticinesi).
The views are amazing on the whole ridge which comes down from Monte Tamaro and divides the "Valle del Trodo" from the "Valle di Vira" (see pictures below).
The Level shown below is only related to the walk from Poncino della Croce to here and therefore represents our route. As there are at least 4 different ways to reach this summit it wouldn't make sense to show them all.
Having said that, when you see that our route up to Poncino della Croce was a T4, you get that this peak here can be quite challenging to reach.
