This was the 2nd peak in our three summit hike today in the northern Stubai alps (Widdersberg-Schneiderspitze-Birgitzköpfl).
Schneiderspitze is an interesting mountain as from every angle its shape looks different. As can be seen in the pictures below, from Axamer Lizum (starting point of today, 7th picture) it looks like a very pointy peak, whereas from south and therefore from a higher position, it appears very flat and resulted to be very easy to reach.
We walked over to this peak in 45 minutes from Widdersberg on an easy and very clear path, in fact only the last 200 meters (30 vertical) where off path on a pretty steep field. It's really worth it to go and check out the cross on top as the views are very satisfying and perfect for some really good pictures :)
Having said that, the "serious" summits in this region are the Kalkkögel which are located just behind this summit here. I already talked to a local expert to fix that next time we will be around there, he will bring us up and ensure that we really reach the top of this valley!
