This summit was my first one in the Swiss canton Uri.
It was included in a 5 Peaks hike together with Giübin, Pizzo Prevat, Posmeda and Pizzo Canariscio.
Until now I would say that it was the most exposed one I hiked up as there is a 20 meter long section (ridge) which is completely exposed on both sides (30-40 meters) and is only 4-5 meters wide. Our route was the one coming up from the western side following the path 133 explained in the official guides of the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club), page 149 of the 3rd volume (Guida delle alpi ticinesi, dal Passo San Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro).
The route which sometimes is exactly on the ridge, is shown in the 1st and 4th picture below.
It's 10-15 minutes away from Pizzo Prevat, which was the reason we decided to go up here too.
There would have been a more logical Route including Pizzo Centrale which would have led circleing us around the Sella Lake, but our hiking partner was not feeling it..and therefore that peak waits for me for the next time. Below you will find the route we did this time, having said that, I would recommend to start out the opposite way we did (so with Pizzo Canariscio and follow the ridge around, passing on from Pizzo Prevat to Pizzo Centrale and back down from the northern side of the lake).
