Fourth summit (out of 5) on our hike today. (Giübin, Pizzo Prevat, Rotstock, Pizzo Canariscio).
Coming from Giübin, it's a really easy walk up because there is only a 50 meters elevation to walk up from Passo Posmeda following the ridge that connects the two mountains.
Our route was the one coming up from the eastern side following the path 144 explained in the official guides of the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club), page 153 of the 3rd volume (Guida delle alpi ticinesi, dal Passo San Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro).
The route is shown in the 3rd picture below.
When starting from Passo San Gottardo it's a 2 - 2.30 hour walk.
It's all on Country Roads and mountain paths so i'd say this is an easy one. Amazing views though.
There would have been a more logical Route including Pizzo Centrale which would have led circleing us around the Sella Lake, but our hiking partner was not sure he could make it and therefore that peak waits for me for the next time. Below you will find the route we did this time, having said that, I would recommend to start out the opposite way we did (so with Pizzo Canariscio and follow the ridge around, passing on from Pizzo Prevat to Pizzo Centrale and back down from the northern side of the lake).
