90th summit in Ticino
Second peak of today's 4 peaks hike (Forca-Poncione d'Arbione-Uomo d'Arbione-Poncione Pro do Rodùc).
The peak is listed at page 227 of the 3rd Book of the CAS Guides about the Ticino-Region (Dal Passo del san Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro).. and it's a nice one!
More than the peak itself, intended as the moment you are standing on it, what's nice about it is the steep walk to it where most of the time on your right you look down 1600 meters (almost) vertically + also the walk away from it which is a thin ridge where every step.. could be your last (yes I know it sounds brutal, you should really watch your step up here though). Check the pictures below: the 7th and 12th picture show the open and steep ridge up to it which was one of the highlights today, the 2nd, 5th and the last picture show the nice ridge towards Uomo d'Arbione which as experience was not second to the climb we made just before.
I love this region and I love these views as I can almost see all mountains I've always looked at from below when waking up in my mothers house when I was a kid. I actually can't believe I've had to turn 30 to finally be up on all these summits.. unbelievable. What a beautiful hike.
Level: T4- (due to the short but really exposed sections along the way)
