Pizzo Tom (CH) - 2 360 meters

Nr 13

Fourth Peak (out of 7) on our big traverse up to Punta Negra.

Traverse: (Föisc-Pian Alto-Camoghé-Pizzo Tom-Pizzo Stabbiello-Poncioni Negri-Punta Negra).

I'm repeating myself on this hike, the view from up here is again breathtaking.

The final Part (last 20 meters) when coming up from the south side (as we did), needs some grass climbing skills as it's really steep and exposed (you really don't want to fall down there, although I doubt it would be fatal).

We followed path 249 (from Bocchetta del Camoghé)  explained in the official guides of the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club), page 203 of the 3rd volume (Guida delle alpi ticinesi, dal Passo San Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro).

We checked the route from the northern side afterwards which is a normal T3-.

Level: T3+  (due to the final part), otherwise it would be T3. Info: no paths at all on the whole peak.
