This was the second peak of today’s hike (Schenadüi - Pizzo Corandoni).
First of hopefully more hikes on some higher peaks this summer. We just walked over from the first and higher peak of the day (Schenadüi) in a bit more than one hour following paths 270 and 267 which go through Passo dei Corandoni.
The views from this ridge are simply incredible as you have Valle Piora (for sure one of the most beautiful ones in this region) on display the whole walk... I think the pictures below really speak for themselves this time, some of the are among the best we've ever taken.
The peak is listed at page 211 of the 3rd Book of the CAS Guides about the Ticino-Region (Dal Passo del San Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro)
All in all a pretty demanding hike (talking about the whole day), this second peak is easy though, even if the last 30 minutes are completely off path, there never is danger coming from exposed sections or similar situations when walking up the from the north-eastern side.
