First one of today's 4 peaks hike (Motto d'Arbino - Sasso Guidà - Motto della Conca - Motto della Croce).
This Peak is listed at page 202 in the official guides of the Swiss Alpine Club; vol 5. Guida delle prealpi ticinesi.
We started our Sunday hike from Monti di Ravecchia, which is a small mountain hut village above Bellinzona. The ascent on path 124 (explained at page 205) is beautiful and really steep but great to wake you up, reminding your body that you are out in nature and he needs to get going :-).
The Motto d'Arbino itself is actually nothing special (when thinking about it's top) as it's not more than a flat field with some kind of station and an antenna on it..but you start to get the first real views up here as the rest of the walk up is in the woods.
The last picture shows a helicopter of the swiss army flying up some water to a big fire which was expanding on top of a mountain nearby.. better pictures of this fire are on the Sasso Guidà page.
