60th summit in Switzerland.
Fifth one of todays 10 peaks hike (Camusio-Cima Torrione-Motto Rotondo-Monte Gradiccioli-Monte Pola-Sasso della Gallina-Monte Magno-Monte Magino-Zottone-Poncione di Breno).
This Peak is located on the shoulder of the much higher Monte Gradiccioli from which we walked down to here following path nr. 725, explained at page 470 in the official guides of the Swiss Alpine Club (vol 5. Guida delle prealpi ticinesi).
The Monte Pola is a small hill which gets passed by everyone doing the famous Tamaro-Lema hike but as the path doesn't exactly pass on top of it, most folks just pass by. This is actually quite a shame as the views of the Lago Maggiore from here are probably the best ones of the whole ridge (last picture).
