Eighth one of todays 10 peaks hike (Camusio-Cima Torrione-Motto Rotondo-Monte Gradiccioli-Monte Pola-Sasso della Gallina-Monte Magno-Monte Magino-Zottone-Poncione di Breno).
This peak doesn't really seem a real or worthy summit when you're walking on the ridge from north to south as the mountain before is clearly higher (Monte Magno).
The surprise comes when your on top of it as the peak gives a lot of possibilities for great pictures as shown below; Lugano Lake, Lago Maggiore and the ridge
itself...
The peak is listed at page 484 in the official guides of the Swiss Alpine Club; vol 5. Guida delle prealpi ticinesi.
There is no special path to hike up to it, it's actually enough to walk up the hill through the grass when on the 748 path at page 498 (the famous Tamaro-Lema
Traverse). This path and the Monte Magino itself are shown in the third picture below which was taken from Monte
Magno.
