90th summit in Switzerland
Second and last peak of the day (Gridone-Fumadiga).
Regarding the hike to the top, I'll just copy in the explanation I wrote when talking about Gridone as it's exactly the same thing :-).
The Fumadiga is listed at page 222 of the first book of the CAS Guides about the Ticino-Region (Dal Gridone al Passo del San Gottardo); its name is not famous as a stand-alone mountain but more for being the last mountain of the known "Cresta dei Lenzuoli". In all honesty I have to say, that probably this mountain is normally not reached the way i did it, as from that side it's not challenging at all. Maybe one day I'll do the Lenzuoli-traversata including all 5 of its peaks and will then have the Fumadiga Summit as the "finish line", but for that I might need a Mountain guide and some ropes.. you can't really talk about a normal hike there anymore.
To reach the top of today's hike we started right below the mountain hut "village" of Cortaccio (we found a parking spot in Pienizzo) we took a way that is not explained in the official guides. I personally think that the reason for this, is that at the time that these guides were written, the beautiful capanna al legn did not yet exist and therefore there was no reason to take this panoramic path which now appears evident. To then reach the top of the Fumadiga I just ran up 3-4 minutes from Bocchetta di Valle after we came down from the Gridone summit.
