The peak is listed at page 228 of the 3rd Book of the CAS Guides about the Ticino-Region (Dal Passo del San Gottardo al Pizzo di Claro), and was the first one of today's 4 peak "end of higher mountains without snow season" hike (Forca-Poncione d'Arbione-Uomo d'Arbione-Poncione Pro do Rodùc).
I like this region; Piora.
This is where I grew up and also the mountain-region where I have more know-how than all the others. Having said that, today was the first time I was on the right side of the Ritom Lake (when looking at it from the dam) and therefore got completely new sights of this famous region. Many international photographers and so called influencers have already been here taking their pictures (of course much better then mine).. and every time I am here I understand why, the scenery is just astonishing.
As said, this was the first peak today and honestly I would say that the Forca is much more similar to a hill than a real peak. For sure from below it's probably more noticeable but up here the walk to it was feeling more as a part of the hike towards our objectives of the day.
Great start into the day, passing huts i'd like to call mine.. so far away from work and the hectic city :-)
Level: T2+ (the + only because the last 5 minutes are off path.. with no difficulty whatsoever)
