Cima Moncucco (CH) - 1 725 meters

30th summit in Switzerland.
This was the 6th and last peak from our 6 summit hike (Cima Calescio, Camoghè, Vetta del Vallone, Monte Segor, Gazzirola, Cima Moncucco) we had programmed for today.
We came down from Gazzirola following path number 255 on the big and easy ridge (from west); CAS (Swiss Alpine Club), page 250 of the 5th volume (Guida alle prealpi ticinesi).
Cima Moncucco (at page 257) is a pretty modest summit which, if seen from south, doesn't even seem a mountain. Coming down from Gazzirola through the Passo di Pozzaiolo there is only another 120 meters ascent to overcome and your are standing on the top.
Having said that, it was the perfect mountain to finish our 7 hour hike, from here we walked back down to Alpe Serdena passing Alpe Matro back to our car.
