Second and highest peak of our today's 3 summit hike (Matro, Cima di
Medeglia, Motto Rotondo).
It's the 20th-smallest summit in Ticino.
This was the best one today and it's also a peak that is worth to be seen anytime if you don't have much time. There are 4-5 different ways up, which
makes the peak easily accessible from all sides.
The view is amazing as it's basically 360° and goes from Camoghè to Monte Tamaro, Locarno, Pizzo di Vogorno, Pizzo di Claro and Monte Bar with also a little glimpse
of the Lugano Lake.
We walked up following path number 316 explained on page 297 of the 5th CAS Volume about the region of Ticino (Guida alle prealpi ticinesi). It's quite an easy hike when coming from Matro as most of the walk is on a wide street whithout any difficulties or exposed sections.
