Second and lower peak of our hike today (Cima dell'Uomo - Cima d'Erbea).
The whole explanation on how we arrived close to this mountain can be found on the article I've written about Cima dell'Uomo and therefore I will not annoy by explaining it again :-)
Therefore, here I will only explain how to arrive from one peak to the other.
Let's put it this way: the peak is really nice and completely off-path, it gives beautiful views and almost for sure you will be completely alone on the summit for your whole visit. I could even imagine to have this peak as the objective of the day if it wouldn't be for the Cima dell'Uomo in its nearest surroundings which is a higher, much more reachable (paths) and interesting peak than this one.
But.. the real reason why i wanted to walk up here is, that it's one of the 3 highest peaks we can see from our current apartment in Lugano and it also was one of the few of all those we see, on which I hadn't been up yet.
This mountain has two separated peaks (east and west). The one which is listed as the official summit on all maps is the western one, I guess the reason simply is that it's the higher one.. so there is where we went. Having said this, i don't really understand it as in my opinion the two peaks should be calculated as separate peaks, they aren't really that connected to refer to them as one only.
The Cima d'Erbea is listed in the second book of the CAS Guides about the Ticino-Region (Dal Cristallina al Sassariente).
To come up here, we firstly walked down from Cima dell'Uomo towards Bocchetta della cima dell'Uomo, and from there started following down Path 1683 until a height of 2'180 meters, to then turn upwards on the left side and go straight to the peak (maybe slightly also touching path 1686).
