This was the first mountain in the beautiful Zion National Park.
In my opinion, this is by far the most beautiful of all, alone thanks to its special colors and its incredible trails. We decided to walk up to Angels Landing first, as this hike was praised online as one of the most dangerous of all North America. In retrospect I can say that this is certainly a hike that is not for everyone and you could potentially fall very easily, having said that the path is so well secured that you must be very unlucky that this happens. I've definetly done much more dangerous things in Switzerland.
Nevertheless, the path is really impressive and the views you get on top are just great. It was also funny that chipmunks were waiting for us at the top to enjoy the view together .. and steal some food. All in all a not too long but still quite exhausting hike which shouldn't though be a problem for a fit person. However, it is not recommended at all for people with fear of heights as exposures are there and they are massive.
Angel's landing is certainly the most beautiful place I have been in the USA (at least when thinking about the 7 peaks we have hiked, although it was the lowest one). I would also recommend to set off either in the late afternoon (early enough that one still comes down with enough daylight) or in the morning; during the day it can get very warm in this park and then an ascent becomes kind of a "torture".
If you could give stars, you get a 5/5 from me, it was awesome.
